Shadow Wood at The Brooks is the golf community within The Brooks, Bonita Bay Group's 2,532-acre master plan that opened in 1998 and became the fastest-selling community in Southwest Florida history. Shadow Wood Country Club carries 54 holes across three courses, the largest golf footprint in the Bonita and Estero corridor, with the North course by Bob Cupp renovated by Rees Jones. Membership is non-equity and optional — nothing to buy back and no forced dues for non-golfers — and it is the only community in The Brooks offering non-equity golf. The 30,000 square foot clubhouse holds four dining venues, and the club adds nine clay tennis courts, bocce, a golf academy, fitness center and spa. Owners can also join the Commons Club for access to the private Shadow Wood Beach Club on Bonita Beach. Inside the gates sit 350 acres of preserve and three nature trails.
